Williams Gallery West will consider fine art, folk art, and fine craft by working artists for display in our gallery. Submission of works is not a guarantee that artwork will be shown. The gallery will take on new work if we feel that our relationship with the artist will be of benefit to both the artist and the gallery. Due to limited space and a limited number of shows, we are only able to take on a small number of new artists each year. We enjoy seeing new work, and take our relationships with the artists we work with seriously. We hope that you will consider submitting your portfolio.
In order for the gallery to best review your work, please send us the following materials. Feel free to contact us either by phone or e-mail if you have additional questions.
Slides of available work from the last 24 months, with the following I.D. on each slide.
PLEASE include a slide ID sheet with the same information on it as on the slides, and with retail prices listed. Artwork that has been sold need not be included.
OR
Digital samples of available work from the last 24 months, on CD, DVD, or Memory Card, with accompanying documentation in .TXT .PDF or .DOC file format. We will also consider work that is available for viewing on the Internet.
I.D. for each image should include:
Artwork not available for sale need not be included.
Current Artist's Statement. Two or three paragraphs are sufficient, although both long and short versions can be helpful at different times!
Current Artist's Biography.
Copies of reviews or press articles if applicable to current work.
Feel free to include any additional material that you feel is important.
SASE (self-addressed stamped envelop) for return of materials must be included.
