Late 19th century elephant Ivory Netsuke depicting a gigantic Buddha seated on an elaborate pedestal.  A number of small figures crawl, climb, and stand on and around the Buddha, including a central figure which seems to be falling or suspended up-side down.  The carving is exceptionally detailed, with elaborate lotus leaf designs on the pedestal, complex drapery, and even facial details on the minute figures.

Two holes in bottom. Signed. Possibly Harushi.
