18th century elephant Ivory Netsuke depicting a man at the base of a mountain.  Simple lines and distinctive triangular (Bachi-Ochi) form typical of early netsuke, carved from triangular shaped left-over pieces of ivory.

Unsigned.

Two holes in bottom, one larger than the other. Larger hole hollowed to hide knot of cord.  A third hole passing through the piece from top to bottom near figure.

Good Condition with typical wear from age and use.  Nice golden patina.  Typical hairlines.  Small loss at edge of larger hole on bottom.
