Mono Indian hand woven redbud and willow winnowing / collecting basket. A classic example of the form. 

Excellent Condition. Very clean.  Truly lovely!  A practical basket made for daily use, with very little wear. Displays very well.

Winnowing baskets of this type were used by many California Indian tribal groups for collecting, sorting, and leeching acorns.  Our location just outside Yosemite National Park in Central California results in some excellent examples coming to our attention from time to time.
