Emma Pellini is a well-known Italian jewelry designer who worked in the 1940s and 1950s.  Her jewelry is known for its use of crystal and Venetian glass.  Her studio is still in business today.  Her daughter Carla assumed control of the business in the 1960s, and her granddaughter Donatella continued the tradition beginning in the 1970s.   Donatella began using plexiglass, lucite, and cast resin to create her pieces in the 1970s and 1980s.
