California photographer Heidi Vetter has been a professional photographer for over twenty years. She is a founding member of the Yosemite Western Artists art association, and owns and operates her own photo processing business. Her work centers on historical locations and the awe inspiring landscapes of California, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the American Southwest. Her work includes images from Monument Valley, Mono Lake, the gold country of the Eastern Sierra, the ghost town of Bodie, and most recently the rugged back country of California's High Sierra. Vetter's most serious work is shot using a modified light-weight 4 x 5 large format camera, and hand printed using traditional darkroom techniques.

Special Edition Print Vetter's image of the alter and wall murals at the La Purisima Mission in Lompoc California is both beautiful and inspiring. The image features the Virgin Mary in prayer, standing over a small but elaborate alter crowned by Jesus on the crucifix. |
