Five Polages and Viewer by Austine Wood circa 1985 Five polages in two sizes by artist Austine wood. The term polage was coined by the artist to describe an animated polarized montage. Wood learned the technique for using polarized sheets of colored plastic to create animated effects from a physicist, and uses the process to create unique animated images. The viewer consists of a motorized light box. The motor drives a polarized disk, which rotates at a slow and constant speed. As the disk rotates the image displayed in the frame animates, changing colors as the light passing through the disk is effected by the polarizing filter. Accessories include velvet bags for storage and separate polarized discs for viewing the animation without the viewer. Very Good Condition PRICE $900.00 including all 5 polages, viewer, and accessories |
