This Lone Star cannon is similar to item # 710800 the Benbros Howitzer.  Since many Lone Star figures where copies of other figures, it is possible it is the case in this situation as well.  With the exception of the chrome finish, the two cannon are almost identical.  Notable differences are the textured surfaces on the carriage and gun shield of the Lone Star cannon, possibly added in an attempt to differentiate it from the earlier Benbros gun.
