a number of classes, workshops, and demonstrations each
year.
Members
interested in offering classes or demonstrations please contact Ellen Hurst.
All arts are welcome including painting, photography, woodcarving, ceramics,
jewelry, etc. Some funding is available for artists interested in hosting
classes or workshops. Please inquire if interested.
Demonstrations at Gertrude School
YWA meetings at the Gertrude School include a brief meeting, a potluck lunch and an artist's demo. There is a fee of $5 for members and $10 for guests.

Painting with Slade Wheeler
YWA member Slade Wheeler is offering a painting class in Oakhurst on Tuesday nights. Class size is limited to 10 students. The class is for all ages and all abilities. Students will start work according to their own skill level will be taught in traditional composition and painting techniques. Slade is excited to pass on techniques and processes he has learned from artists David Leffel, Martin Driscoll, and others. Painting from Life with Doug Boomer - Meets at Gertrude School every Thursday from 9:00 AM to Noon. Cost is a donation of 5.00 to 7.00 for the model. Models are not always available so check with Doug ahead of time if you want to know. Artists working in all media are welcome. Contact Doug Boomer if you have questions.
