YWA offers a variety of outings, guest speakers, and other activities throughout the year. Members interested in suggesting or planning activities please contact De Sheldon at 559-658-5980 All arts are welcome including painting, photography, woodcarving, ceramics, jewelry, etc.
Rotating Exhibit at United Security Bank
YWA offers a monthly rotating exhibit at United Security Bank in Oakhurst. The show space consists of three 4 x 8' panels in the banks reception area, and some additional space on the walls. The bank is open five days a week, has good light, and offers great exposure! Artists are expected to hang their own work, and to coordinate with the previous artist showing to insure a smooth transition. YWA receives 20% of sales proceeds.
Doug Boomer is the contacy person for scheduling the wall space, Larry Ballew is the contact person for scheduling for the panels. The wall space will accommodate about 8 framed pieces. YWA typically features one artist at a time but that is flexible. Please feel free to make suggestions! The wall display is scheduled quarterly, the panel display is scheduled monthly.
