Garcia Martinez was a designer commissioned by the Taxco taller owner Emma Melendez,
whose silver designs sold at the Rancho Alegre Shop in the 1950s. Miguel's
designs are bold and simple, showing influences of Pre-Columbian art and often
incorporating semi precious stones, abalone, and stone inlay work.
