Nisar's anthropomorphic works are essentially landscapes, populated by abstracted beings and amorphous objects. The influence of Surrealist master Salvador Dali is evident in these works, but Nisar makes them his own with a touch of veiled humor, and an abstract expressionistic leaning not present in Dali’s works. The frenzied activity of the "Rapid Expressionism" period has been replaced with a feeling of calm and a stronger sense of place. The style is more painterly than earlier works, adding volume to the objects that populate the scene, and a stronger feeling of realism to the work. | |||
